Bow Down Brooklyn

2 min read

The Brooklyn Nets fell to the Los Angeles Lakers 126-101.  Normally this wouldn’t be anything to worry about as a Brooklyn fan however, the Lakers were without Anthony Davis and LeBron James.  Instead, Andre Drummond was the star of the night scoring 20 points on 8/15 shooting and adding 11 rebounds.  Granted, the Nets were without James Harden and Kyrie Irving did get ejected along with Dennis Schröder from the Lakers.  Following the ejections, the Lakers went on a 22-9 run and falling behind 88-71.  The run eventually reached 60-39 and put the Nets in the ground.  Should the Nets be concerned?  Andre Drummond bullied LaMarcus Aldridge all night long.  The Nets defense has been a topic of concern all year.  They did bolster the front lines with the signings of Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge but after trading away Jarrett Allen, all they were left with was an aging DeAndre Jordan for interior defense. The only positive thing coming out of April 10ths contest is Jordan and Griffin were both sidelined.  However, how are the Nets going to contain both Drummond and Davis as well as when the freight train, LeBron James comes down the lane?
