Buccaneers Find the Help They Desperately Need

1 min read

“Finally”, finally is what all Buccaneer fans are saying. They have finally gotten the help they need in their secondary. After having their best corner, Sean Murphy Bunting, go on the IR a week ago, the Buccaneers went out and signed the former 5 time all-pro and one-time Super Bowl champion, Richard Sherman. While Sherman is old and potentially “washed” up, he is the veteran they need to have the support that young secondary. When you look at the statistics, the Buccaneers needed Sherman. In their first game of the season, they allowed 391 passing yards against the Cowboys. Come their second game, they allowed the Falcons to throw for 293 yards. Then, this past weekend, the Buccaneers allowed 331 passing yards to potential Super Bowl contenders, the Rams. I do think the Buccaneers would have been fine, especially since this was the same exact problem they dealt with last season, but adding Sherman is a move that can further justify why they can win the Super Bowl again.
