CloudZeroSports Betting NFC North Review: Finally the Year to Bet on the Lions?

Green Bay Packers (O/U 7.5)

The Green Bay Packers are going to be a decent team. It will definitely be an interesting year with Jordan Love at the quarterback position. How Aaron Rodgers was last year wasn’t pretty, and with a younger and eager kid to step in to fill the shoes of the future hall of famer’s time there, he showed flashes last year that had some upside. This team had 13 picks in the 2023 draft, so they have talent and still have many vital players from previous seasons. The only question is Love. If he doesn’t turn the ball over, they will win games. I like the Packers more than others and believe in LaFleur and his ability to coach this team. They have the talent, but the schedule will be a test for the 2023 Packers.

Over 7.5 wins (Notable games to look for, Saints, Broncos, Steelers, Chargers, Chiefs, and Giants)

Chicago Bears (O/U 7.5)

The Chicago Bears and the former Ohio State quarterback, Justin Fields, will have a chance to win the division. After showing some signs of explosiveness last year, will they have consistency? Justin Fields has the most significant upside of all the quarterbacks in this division, but the question is, does the offense have enough weapons? Having DJ Moore is a significant upgrade at wideout. Adding Yannick Ngakoue on defense is huge for their pass rush. I expect them to be better than last year. Some key additions will help the team, but is it enough to be in the mix for a divisional push? Justin Fields will have to have an arguable MVP season to get the Bears into the playoffs this year, which he could do with how dynamic he is. He sure does make the game well worth watching.

Under 7.5 wins (Notable games to look for, Chiefs, Broncos, Chargers, Saints, and Browns)

Detroit Lions (O/U 9.5)

Is the hype real for the Detroit Lions? They have a good schedule to get them into playoffs and a solid, well-rounded team. The question is, which Goff will the Lions get this year? Another thing that hurts this ball club is the suspension of Jameson Williams for illegal betting. We will see Jahmyr Gibbs taking over the backfield alongside David Montogomery. So, a whole new backfield, which may be good or bad. However, the O-line is one of the best in the league. I’m excited to see the Lions this year with rookies Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta. We will see how they handle the offensive side and how Dan Campbell gets the Lions fired up this year. I can see this team finishing with 9-11 wins this year.

Over 9.5 (Notable games to look for, Chiefs, Ravens, Chargers, Saints, Broncos, and Cowboys)

Jahmyr Gibbs and the O-Line might help him be a candidate for Rookie of the Year

Minnesota Vikings (O/U 8.5)

Let’s ask, what does Vegas know that we don’t? Why is the Viking’s win total so low when they won 13 games last year? Well, they did win 11 one-possession games last year, especially that insane comeback against the Colts. But why disrespect Kirk Cousins? He has been an above-average quarterback in his career, and they have Justin Jefferson. This offense will score points. Adam Thielen slowed down their passing offense, so they added Jordan Addison, which will be more exciting. Minnesota will miss running back Dalvin Cook, but having fresher legs in Alexander Mattison might be a positive outlook. I don’t think they will win 13 games again, but they will be in the mix to win the division. Experienced quarterbacks go a long way, and surrounding Kirk with some weapons will have them in contention for another NFC North title. I see them finishing 8-9 wins this year, depending on how they do against their key opponents.

Over 8.5 wins (Notable games to look for, Eagles, Chargers, Chiefs, Saints, Broncos, and Bengals)

Look for the Vikings to throw more than the previous year, like Cousins over 4000 passing.
