Diving Pick’s Review: Belichick and Patriots Ready to Dethrone Surging Bills?

4 min read

AFC East Prediction

We football fans know what’s going to happen this year, the Bills on top of the division. We realized Belichick is missing Tom, but he did get his QB in the draft this offseason and I am on the hype train with Mac Jones. Let’s take a look at what to see in the division and each team’s win total.

New England Patriots (Win Total 9, Buy .5, as 8.5 Alt. Wins)

As fans, we all know to never bet against Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Belichick did alright with what he had last year, but this year they are a very sneaky team. They have a top 10 defense and offensive line. With rookie quarterback Mac Jones (+1000 odds ROY) most likely to become the starter, I would recommend to stay away from the win total and look at them making playoffs. If not, lower the win total to 8.5.

Best Pick: Make playoffs +126 or alt. wins 8.5.

Buffalo Bills (Win Total 11, Buy .5, as 10.5 Alt. Wins)

Josh Allen is all you need to hear, am I right? The Bills are going to be a crazy team to watch this year. They are Super Bowl contenders (+1200 to win SB). The only other AFC team in their way are the Chiefs. Josh Allen and the Bills will be awesome to watch in the years to come. Josh Allen to win MVP at +1300.

Best Pick: To finish first in division -150.

New York Jets (Win Total 6, Stay Away)

The Jets are a weird team. I cannot see them doing anything crazy this season, but with an easier schedule, they without a doubt will better than last year. One player that I am not high on is Zach Wilson. I just don’t see him being the guy that the Jets want. Wilson may end up being another Mitchell Trubisky. Stay away all year and ride with teams that play against them. The only positive thing for the Jets this year is their schedule. Be smart with them!

Best Pick: Under 6.5 wins.

Miami Dolphins (Win total 9.5, Stay Away)

MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA – DECEMBER 06: Cornerbacks Byron Jones #24 and Xavien Howard #25 of the Miami Dolphins celebrate after a defensive play in the second quarter of the game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Hard Rock Stadium on December 06, 2020 in Miami Gardens, Florida. Is Tua the future? This year for him is HUGE! I understand this is going to be his first full season and he is young, but he has a lot of games underneath his belt last season. Tua learning from a guy like Fitzpatrick definitely helped him grow as a player but this is his time to shine. Being paired with playmakers like Parker and Gesicki, along with the additions of Fuller and Waddle, is a scary sight to see as an opposing defense. Speaking of which, the Dolphins defense arguably is top 10, the key to help out the team this season.

Best Pick: Dolphins odds to make playoffs start at +118.
