Diving Pick’s Review: Colt’s Defense will be the Key to Success

4 min read

In addition to the CloudZeroSport’s Team picks, Diving Picks is going to give his take on each division as well for everyone interested in betting!

AFC South Prediction

With the new additions in the AFC South, it’ll be one of the more competitive divisions to watch this year. Adding players like Bud Dupree, Julio Jones, rookie star Trevor Lawrence (+300 odds), Travis Etienne, and potentially MVP candidate Carson Wentz (+4000 odds). Each one of these players can make a huge impact on each team this year, but the division will be based on who will get to double-digit wins.

Indianapolis Colts

I believe that the Colts will take a huge leap this year. They acquired a great quarterback this offseason, Carson Wentz. With Wentz as QB, he can match Rivers’ success in Indy, if not even better. Given that Wentz has a top 5 offensive line, playmakers like Jonathan Taylor, T.Y. Hilton, Jack Doyle, and future breakout star Michael Pittman, I’m riding the Colts all year. Also, their schedule looks easy. I love over 8.5 wins this year, and can definitely see them winning 10 this year.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are going to be better than most people think this year. With the additions of Trevor Lawrence, wideout Marvin Jones, and first-year head coach, Urban Meyer, they shouldn’t be underestimated. The only thing that is keeping them back is their defense and the loss of Joe Schobert which doesn’t make things any easier. However, they are not going to be the same team from the year prior, that’s for sure. The Jaguars have a bright future this season, however, I don’t expect them to win many away games this season.

Houston Texans

What is there to say about them? The Texans have not even played a single game this season and I don’t think they should. Hopefully, Brandin Cooks will step up this year for his team and be a leader on offense. With Watson’s future up in the air, I love the hardworking Tyrod Taylor at quarterback, but with a long season ahead it won’t be easy for the Texans. Stay away all year!

Tennessee Titans

The Titans have one of the best coaches in the NFL, Mike Vrabel. He is a coach I would love to play for. They are the same team that knocked the Patriots out in the playoffs two years ago and are even more dangerous now. If you look at the additions of Julio Jones and Bud Dupree, it’s a very scary sight. Unfortunately, the big question is, can Julio stay healthy? If he and the rest of the Titans stay healthy, they will be the team to beat in the South.

  1. Indianapolis Colts, over 8.5 wins
  2. Tennessee Titans, right at 9 wins this year
  3. Jacksonville Jaguars, under 6.5 wins
  4. Houston Texans, under 4 wins
